Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Officer is responsible for completing payment and control expenses by processing, verifying, reconciling invoices, cash and cheques entries and bank reconciliations.
Alteo Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic person with interpersonal skills for the above-mentioned opportunity in its Accounting department at Union Flacq.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Officer is responsible for completing payment and control expenses by processing, verifying, reconciling invoices, cash and cheques entries and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure invoices, purchase orders, payment vouchers and other documents required to process payment are in line with Alteo Agri Ltd’s policies and requirements as well as in adherence to local laws and regulations.
- Keeping track of all payments and expenditures
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Paying suppliers by scheduling pay cheques and responding to any queries from suppliers
- Maintaining proper records and preparing reports as and when required by the management
- Monitoring of AP aging and submit monthly payment plan and cash outflow forecasting to management.
- Cash, cheques and credit card entries
- Bank statements processing and performing bank reconciliations
- Ability to meet deadlines and achieve payment targets set by management.
- Assist in end of month closing.
- Minimum ACCA Level 1 / BSC in Finance or Accounting
- At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume processing environment
- Ability to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders in a professional manner
- Experience with any accounting software and internal banking is preferred
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Attention to detail and data entry skills
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools

- Excellent written and oral skills in English and French
