Responsible for the preparation of financial accounts and management reports in line with IFRS and Group standards. Supports budgeting, forecasting, statutory compliance, cash flow management, and acts as a key liaison with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Main Duties:
- Prepares monthly management accounts and yearly financial accounts in line with IFRS requirements.
- Ensure timely reporting to meet the Group standards and deadlines.
- Assists management in the preparation of yearly budget & forecast and the 3-years plan.
- Debtors & Creditors Management including follow-ups.
- Ensure timely statutory submission including CSG, PAYE, TDS, VAT, Corporate Tax & APS on MNS or other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Responsible for the accuracy, completeness and reliability of the accounting records and compliance with IFRS.
- Ensure internal controls are in place and that existing policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Preparation of monthly & quarterly management reporting packs, including variance reports.
- Prepare/ review corporate tax and APS.
- Assist in the preparation of Board Packs & other ad-hoc reports.
- To deal with Internal Auditors, External Auditors, financial institutions, MRA and other Statutory Bodies.
- Supervision of payments, receipt vouchers, bank deposits, cash registers, bank, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare yearly Budget and update revised forecast quarterly.
- Preparation of weekly cash position.
- Prepare Cashflow forecast & monitoring.
- Project finance and follow up with banks.
- Other cognate duties & responsibilities as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Fully or partly ACCA qualified.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Rigour, Focused and Result Oriented.
- Good analytical skills with attention to details when working with figures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively ideas, concepts and information.
- Ability to work under pressure and to effectively handle multiple priorities, organise workload and meet deadlines.
- Able to work both independently as well as a member of a team.
- Innovative problem solver with a good team spirit and a can-do attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point and outlook.
- Sound knowledge in IFRS and prevailing accounting standard.
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP) will be a definite advantage.
