Records guests’ comments and complaints in a notepad and then channels this information to the Chef de Rang or Room Service Supervisor for update of guest’s portfolio.
Customer Service

- Records guests’ comments and complaints in a notepad and then channels this information to the Chef de Rang or Room Service Supervisor for update of guest’s portfolio.
- Answers queries about all items on the restaurant menu and bar lists, their basic ingredients and method of preparation.
Logbook Updating
- Records room service amenities in a logbook.
- Checks and confirms all reservations and records them in the appropriate logbook.
- Maintains a daily logbook for recording events in the room service section and reviews it with the Room Service Manager to correct any arising operational problem.
- Notes any guests’ complaints on Incident Customer Forms, and any special feedback or requirements on Guest History logbook.
Material Handling & Inventory
- Maintains cleanliness of furniture, fixtures and equipment in his/her section.
- Properly handles all materials and equipment to avoid breakage.
- Logs in “Breakage & Loss” book any defective or missing operating equipment.
- Requisitions F&B items, guests’ supplies and stationery supplies, as per schedule arranged by stores, with the approval of the Room Service Manager or the Assistant Room Service Manager.
- Requisitions amenities for the room service section by properly fulfilling the Amenities Request Sheet.
- Assists in inventories as per instructions.
Promotion & Direct Up-selling
- Increases sales through making suggestions and proposing additional items (such as drinks, wine, dessert).
Communication
- Channels information concerning rooms to the appropriate department.
