Our client in the FMCG sector is seeking to recruit a dynamic Human Resource Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Attend employee grievances and advises on necessary actions or direct problems towards relevant party.
- Attend grievances with regards to housekeeping and safety (site visit and ensure that appropriate measures are taken).
- Perform regular shop floor visits.
- Deal with disciplinary issues when required.
- Take notes for disciplinary committees and prepare minutes.
- Provide first aid to employees with minor injury and refers to hospital if necessary.
- Ensure that communication is properly done and notice boards are updated.
- Select applications, short list candidates and call for interviews.
- Organise and conduct interviews for casual workers with manager and supervisor.
- Prepare all necessary administrative documents for the new recruits including contract of employment, payroll details etc.
- Perform induction of recruits on conditions of employment, employees facilities.
- Organises induction sessions with the Health & Safety Manager and Asst Manager Quality Systems.
- Monitor attendance records on a daily basis and update leaves records.
- Prepare and analyse lateness and absenteeism reports and send to Managers / Supervisors.
- Check and input special overtime.
- Verify interface report and send to payroll department.
- Keep employees personal records up to date.
- Filing.
- Forward claims forms & prepares reports to insurance and follow-up.
- Follow up preparation and renewal of food-handler’s card, medical, audiometric & lung function, visual test.
- Prepare letters for overseas, wedding, warnings and others.
- Ensure that employees are issued with the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and keep record of PPE issued.
- Prepare various HR statistical reports.
- Organise and participate in meeting (comité d’entreprise, union, health & safety).
- Participate in the organisation of welfare activities.
- Liaise with Training Section and Supervisors for the organisation of various training sessions.
- Participate in various Projects with HR Managers and other departments.
- Any other duties related to the post and department.
Profile:
- Higher School Certificate (HSC).
- Certificate / Diploma in Human Resources.
- Certificate of proficiency in Industrial Relations.
- Two (2) years of experience in similar position.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication skills.
- Business Writing.
