Our client in the communication sector is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function and support the talented team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead recruitment and selection processes for editorial, printing, and administrative staff.
- Develop HR policies tailored to the press sector, ensuring compliance with industrial laws and industry regulation.
- Manage employee relations & performance reviews.
- Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports for management.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with newsroom ethics, workplace safety, and professional accountability.
- Payroll processing, benefits, and leave management.
- Ensure workings and return of PAYE, CSG, PRGF, ROE & other statutory contributions.
- HRDC/ YEP - Claims and Processing.
- Health and safety welfare.
- Overall look on the operational aspects of the organisation under the authority of the CEO.
- And any other responsibilities as delegated by Management.
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of HR management experience, ideally in media, publishing, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of WRA, Media Employee Regulations and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to balance empathy with professionalism in a fast-paced press environment.
