The Welder will ensure the maintenance of all mechanical equipment.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Use and maintain tools specific to cutting, welding, and grinding with precision.
• Implement necessary safety measures and precautions during all welding activities.
• Manage electrodes commonly used in the preparation of welding work.
• Weld with arc welding set and metal inert gas (MIG) welding and execute various forms of welds in mild steel and structural steel.
• Utilize an oxyacetylene torch for both cutting and welding purposes.
• Work from simple drawings or sketches to carry out welding tasks.
• Perform welding in down-hand, oblique, vertical, and up-hand positions.
• Conduct welding in materials of varying thicknesses.
• Make sound welds, adopting measures to avoid undercutting, expansiobn, and contraction.
• Recognize different metals and select appropriate electrodes for welding.
