As the Human Resource Executive, you will ensure smooth employee operations, compliance with labor laws, and alignment with business goals.

As a Human Resources Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our workforce remains engaged, motivated, and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Performance Management & Training Needs Analysis (TNA)

  • Lead and manage the performance appraisal process, ensuring KPIs align with business objectives.
  • Support managers in goal setting, performance tracking, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify skill gaps and areas for development. Design and implement learning and development programs tailored to business needs. Track and evaluate training effectiveness to enhance employee growth and productivity.

2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Assist in workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies for retail and corporate roles.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates to ensure a strong talent pipeline.
  • Oversee the onboarding and induction process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement  

  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and grievances.
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives to boost motivation and retention.
  • Act as an HR point of contact for conflict resolution and workplace harmony.

4. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure all HR policies and procedures comply with Mauritian labor laws.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and performance reports.
  • Support payroll processing, leave management, and HRIS updates.

 

5. HR Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive HR digitalization and process improvements for efficiency.
  • Support succession planning and internal mobility programs.
  • Utilize HR analytics to provide insights for workforce planning and decision-making.
6.Other Duties
  • Perform any other cognate duties within the scope of responsibilities.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or Equivalent qualifications.
  • At least 2 years’ work experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws [Workers’ Rights Act] and regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and/or payroll software – Knowledge of Sicorax is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
