Agriterra is seeking a motivated and committed Health & Safety Officer to join our Terra Milling Ltd operations. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about workplace safety, continuous improvement, and fostering a safe and inclusive working environment for all employees.

Key Tasks: 

  • Conduct regular workplace inspections across all Terra Milling Ltd premises to identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 requirements and maintain accurate documentation in line with applicable clauses.
  • Ensure that Health & Safety Committee meetings are conducted regularly and that actions arising are properly documented and followed up.
  • Lead investigations into accidents and incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure that risk assessments are in place, reviewed regularly, and updated as required.
  • Monitor fire safety compliance and emergency preparedness across all sites. Coordinate mandatory inspections for machinery and equipment.
  • Facilitate and promote health and safety training for employees at all levels.
  • Ensure the availability, renewal, and regulatory compliance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Candidate Profile: 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience within an industrial, manufacturing or comparable environment.
  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organisational levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities within agreed deadlines.
  • A structured and systematic approach to procedures, compliance, and reporting.
