We are now seeking an Industrial Mechanic to join our dynamic team of professionals, contributing to continuous innovation, operational excellence, and the growth of our world-class textile operations.
Established in 1989 and part of Ciel Textile, the textile cluster of CIEL Group, CDL Knits Ltd is the Fabric Mill division of the Tropic Knits Group. Delivering high-quality fabrics to global markets, our fully integrated knitting, dyeing, and finishing facility is located in Forest Side, Mauritius.

We are now seeking an Industrial Mechanic to join our dynamic team of professionals, contributing to continuous innovation, operational excellence, and the growth of our world-class textile operations.
What you will be doing:
- Inspect, maintain and repair industrial machinery (pumps, textile machines, boiler accessories, forklifts, compressors)
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and failures through observation, testing and own experience
- Adhere to protocols for lubrication and periodic greasing/oiling of rotary mechanisms
- Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules and properly fill or give feedback in maintenance log book and on maintenance card
- Give assistance or support other maintenance staff in completing tasks not necessarily mechanic oriented (e.g. 6s activities)
- Maintain workshop and intervention sites safe and clean as per procedures and regulations
- Operate hand tools, power tools, hoist, forklifts as required
What we are looking for:
- National Diploma in Applied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Candidate should have strong knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, bearings, industrial machines and compressors
- Candidate should have knowledge of boiler operations and maintenance
- Candidate should be available to work on shift system
Diploma is not mandatory; relevant experience and skills will also be considered.
Location: Forest Side, Mauritius.
