Duties and Responsibilities of a Trainee Manager

  1. Learning & Development

    • Undergo structured training to understand company policies, procedures, and operations.

    • Learn departmental functions and management practices under supervision.

    • Attend training sessions, workshops, and meetings as required.

  2. Operational Support

    • Assist managers in day-to-day operational activities.

    • Support planning, organizing, and monitoring of work processes.

    • Ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time.

  3. Team Coordination

    • Work closely with team members to understand workflow and performance standards.

    • Assist in supervising staff when delegated by the Manager.

    • Promote teamwork and effective communication within the department.

  4. Reporting & Documentation

    • Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries as assigned.

    • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

    • Report progress, challenges, and observations to the reporting manager.

  5. Policy & Compliance

    • Comply with company rules, code of conduct, and health & safety regulations.

    • Ensure confidentiality of company and employee information.

    • Follow instructions and guidelines provided by management.

  6. Customer & Stakeholder Support

    • Assist in handling customer or client inquiries and issues professionally.

    • Support service quality and customer satisfaction initiatives.

  7. Problem-Solving & Improvement

    • Identify operational issues and suggest improvements.

    • Participate in process improvement and efficiency initiatives.

    • Learn to handle basic problem-solving under supervision.

  8. Performance & Conduct

    • Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude.

    • Accept feedback constructively and implement improvements.

    • Meet training objectives and performance standards set during the traineeship period.

  9. Other Duties

    • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by management in line with the role.
