Store helper

Key/Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure work areas are kept clean, neat and well- organized.
• Assist in unloading containers and proceed with verification.
• Ensure correct handling of productsCheck products for any damages or discrepancies reporting problems to storekeeper or TL.
• Keep goods stored safely in an organised manner in bin of location (no product stored on floor)
• Support picking, packing and preparation of orders according to FIFO principle.
• Organize products properly in cartons to avoid damaging the packaging /product to move from one carton to another during transport.
• Ensure correct shipping information is noted on cartons and move completed orders to shipping area.
• Place orders on pallets, secure with shrink wrap and move to loading bay.
• Ensure pallet is transferred to correct loading bay.
• Provide regular information (products low level, out of stock, missing in boxes, damages…) to Storekeeper or team leader.
• Ensure proper manipulation of products and materials to minimize damaged.
• Proceed with regular stock rotation to optimize storage space for forthcoming receipts.
• Assist storekeeper in daily cycle count / periodic count and inventories.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Ensure regular checks of fire extinguishers.
• Advise if air-conditioner is not working properly.
• Back up co-workers if necessary.
• Advise potential risks & potential gains for Grays.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store
• Prepare to work odd hours & Saturdays.
