Solana Beach Mauritius is looking for competent, committed, passionate, creative and enthusiastic candidate for the post of Head Housekeeper
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff to ensure rooms and public areas are cleaned to hotel standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas.
- Create daily work schedules and assign room cleaning tasks.
- Trauine, guide, and evaluate housekeeping staff, promoting high perfromance and motivation.
- Maintain inventory and ensure timely requisition of cleaning supplies, linen, and amenities.
- Collaborate with front office, maintenance, and laundry teams for seamless operations.
- Respond to guest requests and address complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
- Keep records of daily activity, staff performance, and room status.
- Parrticipate in recruitment, onboarding, and staff appraisals.
Requirements:
- Minimum SC; Vocational or technical certification in housekeeping/hospitality is an advantage.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role in housekeeping, preferablyy in a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high cleanliness and service standards.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with housekeeping.
- Good communication skills in English and/or French; addtional languages are a plus.
- Flexiblility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
