The City Clinic is looking for an Assistant Cook
- Preparing and cooking food according to recipes and meal plans as directed by the head chef.
- Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
- Assisting the Head Chef with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
- Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
- Following established procedures for food preparation, including safety standards for storing, handling, and preparing food.
The following candidate should have the following qualities and skills :
- Proven experience assisting in kitchens.
- A food handler's license.
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- The ability to work in a team.
- Ability to work on a shift system.
