Country Manager
Our client is looking for a Country Manager who will be responsible to implement and manage the local branch.
Main Purpose of the Job
The Country Manager will lead and manage setting up of fully operational and activated fast-service outlets in the country by interpreting and implementing the marketing strategy, leading competitive intelligence & reporting, products and supplier sourcing and relations management. Responsibile of DMS systems, communication channels, social media platforms and outlet standards in order to contribute to the development of turnover, margin and product availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the implementation of the business strategy in line with business plan, policies, processes, procedures, and systems in place.
- Research, identify, report, and acquire workspace to open new parts and service outlets for the company.
- Recruiting the shops teams, sourcing the equipment and tools on line with standards.
- Researching and providing benchmark reports for both international and local product suppliers in order to identify and appoint quality partners.
- Selecting quality product-brands for quality parts and service products based on most favorable parameters (cost, standard, availability).
- Create and propose offer packages with pricelists to provide guidance during product and packages selection while ensuring quality and availability.
- Lead market understanding of motor industry, vehicle models, service requirements and parts availability vis a vis age and models in the country.
- Carrying out competitor market survey on similar service model to facilitate pricing, identifying market dynamics and recommendation to management.
- Carrying out other marketing duties which include but not limited to : propose and lead promotion activities, developing campaign materials with specialist, leveraging on discounts, brand communication activities, developing and reviewing service packages, manage advertisements online/ fliers/newspapers.
- Responsible for website development and maintenance in liaison with the specialists.
- Proposing special / seasonal promotion activities for various parts and service packages.
- Ensuring relationship management with customers and suppliers, including negotiating with partners for best deals.
- In charge of capturing, reviewing, and maintaining all required information & data into the DMS and maintaining data integrity.
- Training and refreshing end-users to ensure they correct daily usage in the preparation of quotations, invoicing and resolve issues arising.
- Providing regular reports on outlet activities and propose continuous improvement to achieve required results and maintain outlet standards. This also includes following up on action to ensure completion.
- Responsible setup and continued standards in branding and outlet look.
- Lead monitoring and evaluation of the initial project and continuing outlets activities and performance.
- Carrying other new initiatives as may be advised from time to time.
Candidate profile:
- Minimum 7–10 years in the motor industry, automotive aftermarket, parts distribution, retail service centres, or franchise operations.
- Proven experience opening or managing multi-site service outlets, retail branches, or franchise networks.
- Strong operational management background with ability to drive turnover, margin, and profitability.
- Solid experience in local marketing activation, promotions, brand visibility enhancement, digital communication, and customer engagement.
- Comfortable managing campaigns, promotional packages, pricing, and communication channels (web, social media, print).
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to analyse market needs, competitive landscape, pricing models, and customer behaviour.
- Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Engineering, Automotive Technology, Operations Management, or related field.
- Additional certifications in Marketing, Supply Chain, or Project Management are an asset.
