Job Purpose

The Tax Associate will assist the tax team in delivering high-quality tax advisory, compliance, and training services to clients, while ensuring adherence to Mauritian tax legislation and internal procedure

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of tax advice, tax returns, and schedules for clients.
• Support drafting of documents for tax litigation with the Mauritius Revenue Authority and Assessment Review Committee.
• Handle FATCA and CRS reporting requirements, ensuring timely filings.
• Assist in planning and delivering in-house and external tax trainings, including preparation of presentation materials.
• Provide support to other departments on tax-related matters and follow up on relevant compliance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records for tax assignments and adhere to internal policies.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and assist in research and publication initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or ACCA/ACA level 2.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting; taxation knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Positive, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
