Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking to recruit a dynamic Finance and Administrative Manager who will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, forecasting future financial performance, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Responsible for budgeting and financial planning, monitor financial performance against budgets, and adjust as necessary.
- Evaluate potential investment opportunities, assess their financial viability, and make recommendations based on their findings.
- Identify potential financial risks, develop strategies to mitigate these risks, and ensure that the organization complies with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Communicate financial information to stakeholders, including senior management, shareholders, and other departments.
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports, including those related to the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, costing, inventories, budgets and fixed assets.
- Monitor expenditures after budget adoption and approve purchase requisition after analysis.
- Oversee cash management, investment and debt management activities.
- Prepare reports on income, expenditure and budgets.
- Attend Board of Directors and Committee meetings.
- Liaise with company secretary on issue pertaining to board meetings, audit and corporate meetings.
- Liaise with banks and other financial institutions on issue pertaining to the company's cash flow management.
- Liaise with external and internal auditors for all issue pertaining to financial year end and internal controls.
- Ensure that monthly management accounts and other financial reports are finalized each month for decision making and consolidation purposes.
- Oversee the consolidation of the group's financial statement for the directors and auditors.
- Develop, plan and implement goals and objectives for the finance and administrative department personnel.
- Ensure vision, mission and policies developed together with the CEO and the Board, if necessary, are adequately adhered to.
- Analyse and provide first level approval of monthly payroll.
Profile:
- Qualified Accountant from ACCA, ACA or CIMA and is a Certified Public Accountant.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in financial management and accounting, with at least 5 years in a strategic role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
- Knowledge of audit processes and experience in dealing with both internal and external auditors.
- Familiarity with regulatory and tax requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders, including the CEO, board members, auditors, and financial institutions.
