We seek a qualified Senior Accountant to support our growing client base. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, with strong interpersonal, supervisory, and advisory skills and a genuine interest in our clients’ businesses.
Senior Accountant – Immediate Employment
Location: Quatre Bornes
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely preparation of accounts in line with internal deadlines.
- Review financial statements, management accounts, and VAT returns prepared by the bookkeeping team.
- Prepare computations for Income Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT, and PAYE.
- Respond promptly and professionally to requests from clients, Managers, and Partners.
- Act as a responsible and supportive team member, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Produce high-quality work for Manager and Partner review, clearly identifying issues and proposing practical solutions.
- Provide assistance to the Pharmacy Team, Team Leaders, and Managers as required.
Technical and Professional Requirements
- Strong and up-to-date technical accounting knowledge.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Qualified ACCA (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Audit experience is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in company or asset sale/purchase due diligence is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a practice environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage Line 50, CCH Central, and Caseware.
Training:
Full training on all relevant software will be provided.
