Assist in testing, development, and quality control of cement products by preparing, mixing, sampling, and analyzing materials per industry standards. Ensure accurate data, maintain lab equipment, and follow safety protocols to support R&D and performance evaluation of cement-based materials.
Testing & Analysis:
- Assist lab coordinator for R&D lab tests
- Prepare raw materials, paste, mortar, and concretefor testing
- Conduct routine laboratory tests on cement samples and products as per quality
- standards and procedures
- Test samples as per established time frame (compressive strength)
- Liaise with Head of Group Innovation Research & Development for any non-conformity on
- any results
- New raw materials and/or products testing per request by Head of Group Innovation
- Research & Development, including testing for Mauritius and other island
- Assist for concrete casting and Liaise with MSB for sample testing when needed
- Conduct any other test as required and needed by the Head of Group Innovation Research & Development
Reports and documents preparation:
Monitoring Production:
Lab Equipment Maintenance & Calibrating on:
Quality Assurance Compliance:
Safety & Housekeeping:
- Provide timely test data for lab coordinator to record
- Maintain accurate records of test results, including documentation of quality deviations.
- Prepare test reports and communicate findings to the Head of Group Innovation Research & Development or relevant departments.
- Assist lab accreditation documents preparation
- Prepare any other reports as requested by the Head of Group Innovation Research & Development
- Assisting lab accreditation related files preparation
Monitoring Production:
- Assist in the Monitoring of cement production processes to ensure quality consistency.
- Assist in identifying and troubleshooting potential cement quality issues during production and report to relevant department (Production, Maintenance)
Lab Equipment Maintenance & Calibrating on:
- LiasewithProcurementforconsumables/accessories/equipmentprocurementand maintenance.
- Liaise with Head of Group Innovation Research & Development for daily and weekly planning, maintenance plan and any other issues
- Assist arrangements for internal lab equipment calibration (quarterly) and MSB equipment calibration (yearly)
Quality Assurance Compliance:
- Assist in the implementation and upkeep of ISO.
- Participate in the interlab testingwhen requested
Safety & Housekeeping:
- Follow safety procedures when handling hazardous chemicals and operating laboratory equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspaceinR&D lab,QC lab, and concrete lab.
Language Skills
- Fluent in English, French both written and spoken
