Job Summary:
The Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for company staff, clients, and goods. This includes maintaining the assigned vehicle in excellent working condition, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, and representing the company with professionalism and integrity at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Safely drive company employees, clients, and visitors to and from designated locations including appointments, meetings, events, and errands.
- Deliver and collect passengers, documents, packages, and other items as requested.
- Run errands such as picking up dry cleaning, groceries, or other personal tasks as requested.
- Plan routes to avoid delays or traffic, ensuring punctuality.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness (interior and exterior) at all times.
- Conduct regular checks (pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections) on vehicle condition — fuel, oil, water, tires, brakes, lights, etc.
- Ensure the vehicle is fully fuelled and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., water, tissues, etc.).
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or damages to management immediately.
- Ensure that all vehicle documents (registration, insurance, roadworthiness, etc.) are up to date.
- Assist with loading and unloading personal items or packages as when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws, road signs, route plans, and company transport/driving policies.
- Assist in running errands or other administrative tasks when required.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and travel logs in log book.
- Ensure timely delivery and proper documentation (delivery notes, receipts, logs, etc.).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of High School Certificate or equivalent].
- First aid or emergency driving certification.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional driving experience, as a personal driver or in a similar role.
- Experience with luxury or high-end vehicles.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate and clean driving record.
- Good knowledge of traffic laws, local and regional routes.
- Ability to communicate effectively in [English / French].
- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, punctuality and customer service.
- Neat personal appearance and courteous attitude.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Ability to read and follow maps and familiarity with GPS and navigation tools.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
- May require early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or public holidays.
- Combination of office, road, and field environments - both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Extended periods of driving and occasional loading/unloading and lifting of items.
