The Electrical & Instrumentation Manager at Alteo Milling Ltd is responsible for overseeing all electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems within the factory and power plant.

 

Alteo Milling is looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems within the factory and power plant. Reporting to the Factory Manager, the role ensures efficient operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of control systems, while driving automation initiatives to enhance productivity and reliability. The manager also leads budgeting, project execution, and team development, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities

  1. 1.      Operational Oversight
  • Manage daily operations of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems within the sugar factory and the power plant including high voltage switchgears.
  • Ensure production targets are met while maintaining safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  1. 2.      Electricals
  • Knowledgeable in high voltage switchgears including protection settings
  1. 3.      Automation & Digitalization
  • Drive automation initiatives within the factory to improve efficiency, reliability, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee SCADA systems, PLCs, and other digital control platforms.
  • Support integration of new technologies and digital tools into factory operations.
  1. 4.      Maintenance & Technical Leadership
  • Lead installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems (including high voltage switchgears), control systems and instrumentation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement high-standard maintenance procedures.
  1. 5.      Project & Budget Management
  • Identify and implement improvement projects.
  • Prepare and monitor annual and monthly budgets, control expenses, and manage stock levels.
  1. 6.      Team Development & Succession Planning
  • Recruit, train, and mentor technical staff.
  • Develop succession plans to ensure continuity and operational excellence.

 

  1. Continuous Improvement & Compliance
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement across operations, assets, and people.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality systems.

 

  1. Strategic Support
  • Provide technical advice to the Factory and Power Plant Managers.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics, or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in industrial, process plant, or sugar industry environments, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of automation, SCADA, PLCs, instrumentation systems, electrical distribution, including high voltage, and factory automation.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Exposure to quality standards and factory finance/administration is desirable.
