About the Role:
The Driver/Messenger will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe dispatch of company documents and materials, performing banking and other official errands, and providing general administrative and logistical support to the office. The role ensures efficient delivery of internal and external correspondence while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability in all assigned duties.
1. Dispatch and Courier Duties
Collect, deliver, and dispatch documents, parcels, and other materials to and from internal departments, clients, banks, and external partners.
Ensure all deliveries are recorded, acknowledged, and performed in a timely and secure manner.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information and documents.
2. Banking and Administrative Errands
Perform banking transactions including cheque deposits, withdrawals, and collection of bank statements as instructed.
Conduct official errands such as payment of bills, collection of office supplies, and delivery of invoices or letters.
Support administrative and HR functions through filing, photocopying, and other routine clerical tasks as required.
3. Driving and Transport Duties
Safely operate company vehicles for official purposes, ensuring adherence to traffic regulations.
Ensure that vehicles are kept clean, properly maintained, and serviced on schedule.
Report any mechanical issues, damages, or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
4. General Office Support
Assist in the movement of office materials, supplies, or equipment as needed.
Support management and staff in logistical arrangements for company events or meetings.
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Competency Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Minimum Form 5 or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license (private car and motorcycle preferable).
At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
Skills and Attributes:
Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle documents with discretion.
Basic administrative and record-keeping skills.
