Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery & Collection
- Collect and deliver documents, cheques, invoices, and parcels to clients, banks, government offices and other institutions.
2. Driving Duties
- Transport staff, guests, and goods safely to designated locations across Mauritius.
- Ensure proper route planning to optimize time and fuel efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle at all times.
3. Administrative Support
- Carry out bank deposits, payment of utility bills, renewal of licences, and submission of statutory documents.
4. Vehicle Care & Reporting
- Conduct routine checks (fuel, oil, tyres, battery, insurance, fitness, road tax).
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately.
- Ensure the vehicle is sent for servicing and inspection on time.
Requirements
- Valid private/car driving licence (manual/automatic; professional licence is an advantage).
- Proven experience as a company driver or messenger.
- Good knowledge of major roads, regions, and public offices in Mauritius.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and French (Creole appreciated).
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and confidentiality.
- Trustworthy with cash and sensitive documents.
- Physically fit and able to carry parcels/items when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Form IV or equivalent education.
- Clean Certificate of Character.
- Basic knowledge of administrative processes (banks, government offices) is an advantage.
