Job Title: Relationship Executive 
Department: International Partnerships 
Job Summary
The Relationship Executive will carry out technical analysis and monitoring of MUA’s traditional underwriting portfolio of business, sourced by International Partnerships for both Mauritius, Seychelles and East African subsidiaries part of MUA Group. The function will also assist in providing guidance to the Group Underwriting & Technical teams with relevant facts and propose dactions to ensure timely delivery of expectations to the respective Network Partners, facultative & treaty ceded accounts as well as optimizing profitability of the cluster.
Main Responsibilities
Gather all underwriting information from Network Partner Information of all partners/brokers/Others, perform
initial assessment, raise all red flag and point out key notes in a ‘Pre-Underwriting Analysis’.
▪ Prepare draft case to be sent to respective internal stakeholders for a swift Tier 2 assessment and expedition of the risk.
▪ Identify reasons for deviation from expected results for all Traditional covers in order to guide internal stakeholders to take the right decisions in a timely manner.
▪ Monitor that adherence to the Underwriting Risk Appetite is respected.
▪ Assess Underwriting information adequacy and propose initial adjustments to all aspects across all Traditional Non-Motor products.
▪ Uphold and improve our client relationships.
▪ Provide an underwriting sense, analytical input in projects from a portfolio management perspective.
▪ Keep up to date with competitor information and market trends to optimize market share and profit.
▪ Maintain existing client base and assist in developing and/or enhancing portfolio of risks by following-up on new business leads with International Partners and Networks.
▪ Review submissions for all Enquiries, Quotes, New Business and Renewals and ensures the deliverables are carried-out within the set guidelines, procedures and agreements with International Partners and Networks.
▪ Coordinate with all internal stakeholders and ensures timely delivery of information on each request until task is completed.
▪ Establish and maintain good and trustworthy business relationships with International Partners & Networks through courtesy phone calls, visits/meetings, events, seminars, global gatherings.
▪ Monitor Monthly Production and report as and when required.
▪ Monitor Premium Transactions & Monthly Debtors Follow-up and acts as appropriate.
▪ Monitor Monthly Claims Movement and reports to corresponding business source.
▪ Prepare Reports on GWP by line of business and source on Quarterly basis.
▪ Prepare and submit various Reports as and when required by International Partners & Networks.
▪ Perform Yearly Reviews & Periodic Market Updates for International Partners & Networks.
▪ Perform Yearly Review of International Partners Network Agreements.
▪ Assist in the preparation of monthly Underwriting Key Indicators.
▪ Produce regular management dashboards.
▪ Design Reporting needs as per Management requirements.
▪ Coordinate and facilitate new prospects and follow-up on on-going projects on a Monthly basis throughInternational Partners & Networks.
Job Requirements
▪ Diploma or Degree in Management/Project Management or related and experience in insurance, preferably in 
Non-Motor underwriting.
▪ CII or other or other Insurance Related Professional Qualification would be a definite advantage
▪ Basic reinsurance knowledge
▪ A minimum of 5 years working experience
▪ High degree of drive, self-motivation and ability to work independently
▪ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Power Point)
▪ Excellent oral and written communication skills
