Job Description:

Reporting to the Development Manager, the Software Developer in Test Sr is primarily responsible for ensuring the quality of deliverables throughout the agile development lifecycle. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Developer in Test (SDIT) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automated testing and software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, with hands-on expertise in FitNesse, Playwright, Selenium, and Object-Oriented Programming in C#. Experience with Jira, Xray, Gherkin syntax, and API testing using Postman is essential. You will be responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks, writing effective test scripts, and driving quality across the software development lifecycle.

What you'll get to do

• Design and implement automated test frameworks using FitNesse, Playwright, and Selenium.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable test scripts using C#, applying Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Define and execute test strategies for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Use Jira and Xray to manage test cases, link them to user stories, and ensure traceability across the development lifecycle.
• Write and maintain Gherkin-based test scenarios for BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow or Cucumber.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman, including validation of request/response payloads, headers, and authentication flows.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Mentor Junior and SDITs on automation best practices and scripting techniques.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing processes.

Skills and experience we value:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and understanding of the QA role
• Proficiency in C# and solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience with FitNesse, Playwright, and Selenium.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Xray for test management and traceability.
• Experience writing test scenarios using Gherkin syntax.
• Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with BDD/TDD methodologies and tools like SpecFlow, Cucumber, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with performance testing is a plus.
