The Assistant Accountant supports the financial operations of the department by performing administrative, clerical and accounting tasks.
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:
- Managing accounts receivable from end to end
- Managing accounts payable from end to end
- Managing cash books with bank reconciliation
- Assisting with intercompany confirmations
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Maintaining fixed asset register
- Supporting audit and compliance processes
Essential Requirements:
- Studying towards an ACCA Certification (or equivalent professional accounting qualification)
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ accounting experience
- Computer literacy with demonstrated proficiency in an Accounting Package and Microsoft programmes including advanced Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which includes fluency in English
- Proven ability to produce accurate work, paying a high level of attention to detail and formatting
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Sage Evolution and Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage.
