Sales Manager – Electrical Division (International Brand)

The Sales Manager will play a key leadership role in driving business growth, increasing market share, and managing client relationships. This position reports directly to the CEO and works closely with regional and international stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and growth areas.
  • Forecast sales, monitor performance, and analyze market trends to inform business decisions.

Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of sales executives and representatives.
  • Set clear sales goals and provide regular performance feedback.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance product and sales knowledge.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, contractors, consultants, and distributors.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained throughout the sales process.
  • Handle escalations, contract negotiations, and high-value client discussions.

Product & Market Knowledge

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the brand’s electrical product portfolio, including innovations, features, and benefits.
  • Stay updated with market trends, competitors, and pricing strategies.
  • Work closely with the technical and marketing teams to align on product promotions and launches.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management and the brand’s regional office.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain and operations team to ensure timely product availability and delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the electrical, construction, or FMCG sectors.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience working with or representing international brands is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with the Mauritian market and key stakeholders in the electrical industry.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
