Role Overview
As a member of the AGI Supply Chain Finance team, this role supports key financial processes related to cost control, business analysis, and ERP data accuracy. In this role, you will works closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the financial impacts of sales, margins, and inventory. It also plays a part in ensuring that profits are allocated appropriately across tax jurisdictions, supporting the long-term affordability and sustainability of Aspen’s medicines.
Responsibilities
Operational End to end Cost management: Support to drive Financial Growth and monthly performance management by ensuring all measures are tracked during the year related to proactive Risk and Opportunities management for the following areas:
- Negotiation and perform financial, profitability and risk associated assessments based on 3rd party site proposals.
- Legal contract checks and update based on site proposals.
- Prepare and contribute to Transfer Pricing build for simple regions.
- Prepare and contribute to Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and Freight cost for simple intercompany and CMO sites.
- Contribute to the preparation of the company’s budget and forecast packs for the respective affiliate regions and manufacturing organisations.
- Risk Management: Contribute to the internal management reports (Risks and Opportunities)
- Support Legal/Contractual updates.
- Analyse Testing cost associated with sites.
Business Partnering: Build and sustain engagement across Supply Chain Finance (SCF) and operational, intercompany and group work streams:
- Contribute to continuous maintenance and improvements to business process flow.
- Liaise with Group Tax and affiliates across the world to agree transfer prices and COGS related issues with sites.
- Regular touchpoints with SC stakeholders to ensure that continuous information sharing and meeting to move ahead in the negotiation process.
- Business partnering with Affiliates and intercompany teams
Identify and support deliver tangible efficiency outcomes for FP&A:
- Support continuously improving the negotiation process via information sharing, meeting and calendar management and self-service dashboarding, collecting macroeconomic and analytical data to disseminating the same efficiently.
- Support continuous and incremental improvements to business processes and information flows - driving the business and external stakeholders to self-service tools
- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage existing productivity and digital tools—such as Planner, Loop, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, and Copilot—for enhanced efficiency and collaboration.
Support to deliver month-end closing activities
- Delivery of month-end closure management related to COGS and Freight cost Price variance treatment in simple areas.
- Report accurately on accounting functions such as journal entries, invoice details, and operational costing.
- Reconcile balance sheet on a regular basis to ensure accurate integrated reporting
- Finance/Business/Accounting Background.
- Degree linked to Business or Finance
- Qualified ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA is a plus.
- 3-5 years experience in Global industries/Hubs, preferably in Pharma.
- Experience in Excel and/or Financial Modelling
- Comfortable with PowerPoint or other presentation tools.
- Introductory experience in 5 or more of the following financial areas – Cost Management, Financial Analysis, Management reporting, performance management, variance analysis, TP mechanism, COGS mechanism, Data management.
