Location: Mauritius (applicants must already be based and settled in Mauritius)


Our client, a management company in Mauritius, focused on providing tailored solutions and support to clients across diverse industries in Sub-Saharan Africa. To drive our growth, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record in growing and maintaining client bases across the region, with experience in trust, company, foundation structuring.


The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and onboarding new clients, with a particular focus on the Mining, Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Tourism sectors. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent networking skills, who can build and nurture relationships that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and explain various benefits of registering companies/ trusts in Mauritius
  • Prepare proposals for potential clients to show value and nett benefit of various structures
  • Onboard new clients in key industries including mining, agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism.
  • Expand and grow the client base through proactive business development initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders across Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align services with client needs.
  • Travel regularly within Africa (primarily to South Africa) to meet clients and attend business engagements.

Requirements:

  • BCom degree
  • Experience in business development with financial services products is  non negotiable
  • Must already be based and settled in Mauritius.
  • Proven track record in business development in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Strong network and understanding of key industries: mining, agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Africa.
