The Chef de Rang plays a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences to guests by overseeing a specific section of the restaurant. This role involves serving food and beverages, ensuring a high standard of service, and supporting the overall operation of the dining area.

 

  • Greet and welcome guests, presenting menus and offering beverage choices.
  • Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring correct presentation and temperature.
  • Monitor tables and attend to guests' needs throughout their dining experience.
  • Provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items, specials, and wines.
  • Manage a designated section of the restaurant, ensuring tables are set up correctly and maintained throughout service.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Handle special requests and dietary requirements with attention to detail.
  • Build rapport with guests, creating a welcoming and personalized experience.
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in with guests during their meal and after service.
  • Work closely with the Maitre d' and other team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and commis de rang.
  • Participate in team meetings and briefings to stay updated on menu changes, promotions, and policies.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Follow proper food handling and hygiene practices.
