LUX* Grand Gaube is hiring the position of IT Administrator.
The successful incumbent will be responsible to:
•Monitor and ensure that the technological equipment and the networking systems within the resort are working efficiently and effectively.
•Provide first line support including troubleshooting and advising appropriate solutions to computer hardware and software application issues.
•Serve as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems.
•Responsible for the implementation, and the high level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems.
•Maintain and enhance a constant and proactive relationship with existing suppliers for the procurement of computer hardware and software.
•Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
•Strong understanding and management of different operating systems, hardware, database, networking and switching, Wi-Fi, firewall and telephony technologies
•Ability to support virtual and cloud environments (VMware, Hyper-V)
•Liaise with the Head Office for implementation of IT procedures and strategies at the resort.
QUALIFICATIONS
•At least Higher School Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
•Tertiary Education at Degree or Diploma level majoring in Computer Sciences or Information Technology or equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution.
PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE
•A minimum of 2 years of working experience preferably in the hospitality industry.
•A minimum of 3 years of working experience in IT or in LAN administration and implementation.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1.Good knowledge or working experience in:
Storage management namely NFS, NAS, SAN
Mobile Device Management
Backup Solution and Replication
Security Infrastructure - Endpoint Protection Encryption, DLP
Helpdesk and Asset Management System.
2.Technical knowledge of the following will be an advantage:
- Oracle Hospitality Solutions
- Core Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365…)
- Virtualized Machine technologies (VMware, Hyper-V…),
- Server technologies (Virtualization, Blade system, SAN, Hyperconvergence…),
- Server Management and Data backup
- Network and Systems Security
- DPA and GDPR Compliance
3. Ability to cope with tight deadlines.
4. Strong communication and documentation skills.
5. Proactive, dynamic, flexible and professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
6. Good time management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. A clean certificate of character is a must.
