The Automation Engineer is responsible for the development, and implementation of automated tests using the Tricentis TOSCA software suite. The role involves creating test cases, test scripts, and test data, as well as configuring and maintaining test environments. The engineer works closely with development, QA, and operation teams to integrate automation testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring the highest quality software releases.
1. Test Case Design: Collaborate on test case design for comprehensive coverage.
2. Script Development: Write, review, and maintain automation scripts.
3. Environment Setup: Ensure correct test environments are ready.
4. CI/CD Integration: Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
5. Data Management: Manage and maintain test data sets.
6. Execution & Reporting: Oversee test execution, monitor results, and generate reports.
7. Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks.
8. Maintenance: Keep scripts and frameworks up to date.
9. Training: Provide guidance and training to team members.
10. Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues.
11. Documentation: Maintain documentation and follow compliance standards.
12. Stakeholder Communication: Keep stakeholders informed of progress and results.
