Island Life Assurance Co. Ltd is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Underwriter to join the Life Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine, inspect and assess proposals received based on policy conditions in a timely manner
• Adhere to underwriting manual, reinsurance treaty, compliance, AML/CFT and other prescribed guidelines to accept the proposed risk
• Prepare the policy wordings, especially for special conditions, endorsements and assignments
• Liaise with reinsurer in the assessment and verification of applications.
• Provide guidance to the team on underwriting aspects in terms of risk assessment
• Preparation of policy contract along with schedules, terms & conditions, endorsements, etc.
• Make sure that all new businesses are properly captured.
• Ensure KYCs are properly submitted
• Check policy premium in accordance with proposal form
• Prepare for medical appointment
• Conversion of proposal to policy
• Full optimization of reinsurance tool to make sure that all new businesses are properly assessed.

Candidate Profile

• Degree holder
• At least 5 years experience in life insurance underwriting/ and or related field
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data management
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
