Job Summary:

The Bartender/Barman is responsible for preparing, mixing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner. This role requires strong product knowledge, ensures a welcoming and safe environment, delivers excellent customer service, maintains the cleanliness and organization of the bar area and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests at the bar and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
• Prepare and serve beverages according to recipes and customer preferences/requests.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, and other beverages.

• Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders and responding to inquiries.
• Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including washing glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and act responsibly to ensure guest safety.
• Handle cash, card transactions and process payments accurately.
• Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service regulations.
• Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and order placement.
• Restock bar inventory and notify management of shortages or issues.
• Engage with guests to upsell drinks and promote special offers in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their experience.
• Support restaurant operations during busy periods by assisting colleagues as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a bartender/barman preferred.
• Strong knowledge of drink preparation, mixology techniques, and bar equipment (cocktails, spirits, and wine).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality service.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to stand for long hours.
