The role focuses on ensuring workplace safety compliance, implementing effective policies, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in line with legislative and company requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct Health and Safety Committees as per requirements of the ministry of labour.
- Investigate workplace incidents and prepare comprehensive reports with recommendations.
- Deliver safety training sessions and promote awareness of health and safety best practices across all departments.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and assist during audits or inspections when required.
Profile Requirements:
- Minimum2 years of experienceas a Health and Safety Officer inmanufacturing, distribution, or a related environment.
- Holds arelevant degreeand meets allMinistry of Labourrequirements for designation as a full-time Health and Safety professional.
- Strong understanding of relevant occupational health and safety legislation and guidelines.
- Meticulous attention to detailand excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
