The Cluster Marketing and Communication Lead is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies across multiple regions within the cluster.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the cluster’s market dynamics, customer segments, and competitive landscape.
  • Formulate and implement annual marketing plans and budgets that align with overall business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for market growth and recommend strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns through KPIs and metrics, providing regular reports and insights to different stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular brand audits and competitor analysis to ensure the brand remains relevant and competitive.
  • Lead the digital marketing initiatives, including social media, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Utilize analytics tools to track performance, gather insights, and inform future marketing strategies.
  • Stay abreast of digital marketing trends and innovations, integrating them into the overall strategy.
  • Encourage a results-oriented culture, celebrating successes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the integrity and consistency of the Lifestyle and Hospitality Cluster across all marketing and communication efforts.
  • Design, implement, and oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns aimed at promoting products and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including partners, media, and community leaders.
  • Clear and impactful communication messages that resonate with diverse audiences, adapting the tone and content as needed.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for the Lifestyle and Hospitality cluster in media engagements and public relations activities.
  • Regularly reviews, evaluates and responds to guest satisfaction and/or dissatisfaction of the department; recommends new operating and marketing policies whenever there is a change in demand, guest dissatisfaction or a change in the competitive environment.
  • Plan and execute promotional events, trade shows, and community engagement activities to enhance Lifestyle and Hospitality Cluster presence and engagement.
  • Coordinate logistics, budgets, and promotional materials for events, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate within the team to produce high-quality content, including brochures, advertisements, press releases, and digital assets.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for campaigns and promotions.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in marketing and communication roles, particularly with group events (2+ years preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, Business or a related field.

  • Fluent in English and French
  • Outgoing and pleasant personality
  • Good human contact
  • Good appearance, organizational ability and leadership skills
  • Honest, team spirit, courteous, cheerful, and smiling
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, and weekends, as needed.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • To have a high level of creativity and market knowledge in Mauritius.
