We’ve built a software product called Profile that is revolutionising how customer service agents receive feedback from customers. It enables businesses to achieve maximum accountability in their customer service teams by allowing end consumers to rate, review and tip customer service agents. It also enables businesses to quality check all of their conversations with customers using custom scorecards, and will soon be able to automatically quality score customer conversations and abstract useful business data from these conversation using our trained AI model. We also offer a service subscription product called Team, which allows clients to access a global customer service labour force, in which the quality of the customer service agents is pre-verified to an extremely high standard. A unique operational model and technical set up, allow clients using Team to deliver an outstanding customer service experience for their consumers at a cost-effective price. We are also working on a chatbot platform that allows clients to use AI-agents customised for their business requirements, in order to handle customer service contacts and tasks, and pass these tasks over to a human when required.

We’ve got big plans for the future, which include taking our products to additional countries and being on the forefront of artificial intelligence in the customer service industry.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced PHP developer to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about web development and has a strong understanding of PHP, Laravel/Symfony, MySQL, and RESTful APIs. The candidate should be comfortable working in a team environment, we are a small team and always strive to help each other, we work collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP, Laravel/Symfony, and MySQL
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests
• Collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure successful product progress
• Follow PHP coding standards and best practices

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of PHP and web development principles
• Proficiency in MySQL
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code

Nice to have:

• Experience working with Laravel or Symfony framework
• Experience with Git version control
• Experience with Docker
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of PHP coding standards
• Ability to build and/or design CI/CD flow
• Degree or formal education in software engineering or computer science

Working environment

You will have the option of working from home or from our office in Mauritius, or hybrid working some days from home and some days from the office.
