Responsible for monitoring and securing assigned premises to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access. Duties include patrolling property, checking security systems, responding to alarms, and reporting any suspicious activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular security checks of the building and yard to prevent, identify, and report any suspicious activity.
• Follow established procedures to ensure the security and safety of the premises.
• Ensure all yard lights are switched on during the night.
• Ensure the main gate always remains closed unless authorized.
• Confirm that all electrical appliances and machinery are switched off after working hours.
• Check all doors and windows to ensure they are locked when areas are vacant; report any unlocked doors immediately to the Store Supervisor or Finance Manager.
• Monitor and patrol the premises to detect any signs of intrusion, theft, vandalism, or other security threats.
• Immediately report any suspicious activity, incidents or issues. Depending on the urgency, contact emergency services (police, fire department, etc.) as necessary.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by Management.

Handy Man Duties

• Maintain a clean and orderly yard environment.
• Keep the main entrance and parking areas neat and tidy.
• Trim and maintain hedges and grass to appropriate standards.
• Wash company vehicles, including cars and reach trucks, as required.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a similar security role is preferred.
• Basic understanding of security protocols and emergency response.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors.
• Responsible, trustworthy, and vigilant.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Must be available for weekend duties when required.
