IT System Administrator

We are seeking a proactive and experienced IT System Administrator to join our IT team who will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our servers, networks, and IT systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain servers, networks, and related IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime;
  • Monitor system availability and minimize downtime;
  • Manage cloud and on-premise access controls across various IT systems and platforms;
  • Deploy and manage cybersecurity solutions including firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection, and patch management;
  • Perform regular backups and ensure data recovery strategies are in place and tested;
  • Provide first-level technical support to end users troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues;
  • Monitor and respond to system alerts, logs, and performance metrics;
  • Maintain IT documentation including network diagrams, access control logs, asset inventories, and user guides;
  • Assist with IT audits, compliance tasks, and security best practices implementation;
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers when required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a system/network administration role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server administration.
  • Experience managing cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS).
  • Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access provisioning.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and tools (firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS).
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven.
