Handyman – AEL DDS Ltd

Roles & responsibilities:

• Carry out mechanical connections for cargo loading and reception operations at quay and in the depot.
• Operating pumps, heaters, valves and other related equipment at the depot
• Conduct regular maintenance on depot equipment
• Conducting housekeeping works, such as cleaning & painting of pipes, equipment, yard and buildings, including gardening.
• Conduct repair services, plumbing and minor electrical repairs, as instructed by supervisors.
• Conduct regular maintenance (Cleaning and Painting) of assets on the quay
• Conduct barge mooring at the quay.

Qualifications:

• At least Form 4
• At least 2 years’ experience as a handyman or related post.
• Ability to work overtime, (after hours and on public holidays)
• Ability to work on shift when needed.
• Clean Morality certificate
• Driving license would be an advantage.

Other

• Preference will be given to people living in the vicinity of Port Louis
• Previous experience in Port activities would be an advantage
• Overtime paid according to local legislation
• Attendance Bonus and other operation allowances
• Salary will depend on experience
