Preskil Island Resort is seeking a highly organized and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead and supervise the housekeeping team. This role is key in ensuring guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff to ensure rooms and public areas are cleaned to resort standards.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas.
Create daily work schedules and assign room cleaning tasks.
Train, guide, and evaluate housekeeping staff, promoting high performance and motivation.
Maintain inventory and ensure timely requisition of cleaning supplies, linen, and amenities.
Collaborate with front office, maintenance, and laundry teams for seamless operations.
Respond to guest requests and address complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
Keep records of daily activity, staff performance, and room status.
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and staff appraisals.
Minimum SC; vocational or technical certification in housekeeping/hospitality is an advantage.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to high cleanliness and service standards.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with housekeeping
Good communication skills in English and/or French; additional languages are a plus.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
