Workshop Controller (Axess Limited)

The Workshop Controller must coordinate technician job tracking, manage parts requisitions, maintain attendance records, and handle job costing, including warranty and non-warranty work and is also a backup to the Technical Officer, ensuring smooth workflow on the floor in their absence.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To request parts through the repair order process as directed by the Workshop Supervisor or Service Manager.
  • To ensure that technicians are properly clocked onto service orders and that each operation line is clocked accordingly.
  • To maintain and update technician attendance records via Sicorax.
  • To generate and provide reports related to absenteeism, sick leave, and other attendance metrics as required.
  • To be responsible for accurate costing of job cards including warranty, extended warranty, and both cash and credit transactions.
  • To actively participate in the month-end closing process by ensuring all completed jobs are properly closed and documented.
  • To act as a backup to the Technical Officer on the floor, assisting in managing technical workflows and ensuring operational continuity.

Qualification & Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar administrative or workshop support role is preferred.
  • Minimum HSC.
  • Familiarity with workshop management software and job costing procedures.
  • Familiarity with the automotive sector and industry will be a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in Sicorax or similar attendance tracking systems is an advantage.
  • Holder of a valid driving license.
  • Holder of a clean certificate of character.
