Job Title: Student Recruitment Coordinator

Overall Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Student Recruitment Coordinator to lead student recruitment activities within an allocated region. This position plays a vital role in driving student recruitment by actively engaging with prospective students, agents, schools, and partner organisations, while ensuring a seamless recruitment and admissions experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders, overseeing the student journey from initial enquiry through to enrolment, and supporting applicants throughout the recruitment process.
This role will work with the Admissions team to ensure that all applications coming from online and offline channels are well supported at every stage of their journey.
We are looking for a proactive, target-driven, and relationship-focused individual with experience in student recruitment. You will be comfortable working towards KPIs and skilled at building strong connections with prospective students, agents, and key partners. A creative, solutions-led approach and a commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience are essential for this role. Familiarity with African and Asian markets — particularly candidates from or with specific knowledge of these regions — is desired.
Principal Duties:
- Support the Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment in recruiting and managing agent relationships within the assigned region.
- Keep agents updated on programme information, application procedures, and deadlines, and assist in organising agent meetings or visits.
- Establish and maintain relationships with feeder school administrators, teachers, and community organisations to promote collaboration and support for educational initiatives.
- Support links and relationships with companies and institutions to promote Middlesex University Mauritius, provide pre-admissions advice, and give presentations or seminars on university Degree programmes, short courses, and academic requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with prospective students, agents, following up on enquiries and applications to encourage progression from lead to enrolment. Record interactions and outcomes in the university’s CRM system.
- Take the lead on the progression activity of Foundation to Undergraduate and Undergraduate studies to Postgraduate studies for both internal and external audiences.
- Act as a key point of contact for prospective agents and students, participate in their trainings, developing positive working relationships that lead to the recruitment of students to the University.
- Ensure all student and agent details, contracts, enquiries, and application updates are accurately recorded in the CRM system. Maintain data quality and assist in preparing simple reports as requested.
- Support in providing weekly reports on programme-level performance and planned activity to increase the student numbers as requested by management.
- Assist in organising and participating in student recruitment events, school visits, open days, and enrolment activities. Provide logistical support and represent the university at these events as required.
- Represent Middlesex University Mauritius at national admissions-related events, including local school/recruitment fairs, trade exhibitions, road shows, etc.
- Ensure compliance with the law around copyright and data protection.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to drive innovation and maintain relevance.

- Experience working in a multicultural and international environment, with an understanding of cultural sensitivities and norms in international markets. Familiarity with the African and Asian markets — particularly candidates from these regions or with specific market knowledge — is desired.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel within frequently to international markets.

The postholder will be expected to work closely with all members of the team, provide cover and assistance when necessary, and participate within the team as requested in such areas as student recruitment and marketing operations and general office organisation. Other duties and projects will be added as required by the Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment.
