Nextep Contracting Company Limited is currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management, a sharp eye for detail, and experience in managing both internal and external stakeholders. This position is critical in ensuring the financial and contractual success of our construction projects.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and conduct quantity take-offs from construction drawings.

• Submit timely progress claims and follow up on certification.

• Liaise with subcontractors and draft subcontract agreements; process their progress payments in accordance with agreed allowables.

• Prepare and monitor expatriate workers’ wages for the internal rendering department.

• Perform on-site measurements for subcontractor payments and monthly applications.

• Work closely with Team Leaders and clients to follow up on work variations and pricing on an ongoing basis.

• Prepare monthly cost reports and monitor costs on ongoing contracts.

• Liaise with consultants and clients for final account settlements.

• Perform any other cognate duties as assigned by Management.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

• Proficient in MS Excel and QS software.

• Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost control procedures.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
