We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will report to the Directors in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring a high standard of customer service, managing staff, and assisting in the overall growth and performance of the outlet.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Customer Experience

  • Assist in the smooth daily running of the outlet, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction at all times.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints efficiently and positively.

Team Supervision & Support

  • Support in hiring, training, and supervising café staff, including baristas, waiters, and kitchen assistants.
  • Lead by example and help foster a positive team culture.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and shift planning to ensure optimal coverage.

Stock & Inventory Management

  • Monitor stock levels, place supply orders, and ensure inventory accuracy
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and freshness of all food and beverage items in the outlet and the main kitchen on the second floor.

Financial Duties

  • Support with daily cash handling, till reconciliation, and preparing daily sales reports.
  • Help analyze outlet performance and contribute ideas for improvement and cost-efficiency.

 

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all local health and safety regulations.
  • Always maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the outlet & main kitchen on the second floor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in English and French. Creole is a plus.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Open to expatriates

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Barista training or food hygiene certification is an advantage.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume café environment.
