Job Description

The Role

At Checkout.com, our 12-month Graduate Scheme is designed to kickstart your career in fintech by immersing you in the core operations of a global payments' leader. As a Merchant Operations Graduate, you’ll be responsible for supporting the seamless setup and maintenance of merchant accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every configuration. You’ll develop a deep understanding of our internal systems, products, and processes, working closely with cross-functional teams to help merchants transact smoothly and scale confidently on our platform.

As part of Checkout.com’s Graduate Program you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and a comprehensive introduction to digital payments and technology. The program offers an extensive learning experience through technical training, professional development workshops, and direct access to industry experts. You'll be part of a global Early Careers, Graduate community, with regular networking events, mentoring opportunities, and social activities designed to build connections and accelerate your growth and leadership potential. By the end of the scheme, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to make a lasting impact at Checkout.com and beyond.

How you’ll make an impact

During this 12-month Graduate Program, your responsibilities may include:

  • Learn to set up, update, and terminate merchant accounts efficiently, ensuring all processes are followed accurately.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our configuration products.

  • Assist in navigating queries with appropriate support channels to ensure timely resolutions.

  • Actively engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements. Prioritize their satisfaction by addressing concerns and facilitating solutions promptly.

  • Follow defined processes meticulously to ensure the accuracy of all tasks. Review work for errors and implement quality checks to maintain high standards.

  • Approach tasks with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a proactive mindset.

  • Work collaboratively within the Merchant Configuration team and across the organization to drive cases to resolution.

  • Gain practical experience in a multinational environment, collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Develop strong operational skills, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our merchant operations.

  • Develop strong operational and problem-solving skills for long-term growth.

Qualifications

You’re a curious, motivated, and innovative operations' enthusiast. The ideal candidate should be excited to dive into the world of digital payments and technology.

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in all tasks.

  • Passion to develop your leadership potential.

  • Enthusiastic attitude with a strong sense of proactivity.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams and stakeholders across departments.

  • Eagerness to learn and develop an understanding of payment processes and lifecycle and / or a configuration role within the Tech and/or e-commerce industry.
