Our client is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects of its operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial records, managing financial reporting and improving and implementing robust internal controls.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision making.
Auditing & Compliance:
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Work out and manage the annual budget, including revenue projections and expense control.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
- Forecast future financial performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
- Monitor and optimise working capital.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor finance staff fostering a collaborative and high performing team.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Inventory Control:
- Work with operations to ensure accurate inventory valuation.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify and mitigate risks related to inventory obsolescence.
Overall Financial Management:
- Inculcate a strong culture of adherence to policies and procedures and foster the overall management of the business financial resources efficiently and effectively.
- Be a business partner to the operating business unit heads providing both strategic support as well as functional guidance on business matters.
Profile:
- Professional Certification ACCA or ACA is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of post qualification experience in financial management.
- Strong auditing background.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS principles.
- Proven people management/leadership experience.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in Accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
