These responsibilities include ensuring compliance with ALL regulatory requirements from BOM and FSC, managing internal and external shareholders relationships, processing, or authorising transactions, reporting, and mitigating operational risks.

 

The Operations desk handles Cash/payment processing, cards operations, Internet Banking operations, Treasury Back-office operations, account Maintenance and Custody operations. The role entails a level of expertise in both operational activities and service delivery, hence accountable for transaction processing, reconciliations, project assistance, reporting and service management.

The Main activities/responsibilities are listed below:

  • Ensure that Cards creation, maintenance, cancellation, cards settlement and query resolution, reconciliation (daily & Monthly) and reporting (daily & Monthly) are being done on a timely basis and in accordance with updated policies and procedure and in line with all required regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and correct processing of all Internet Banking requests and token allocation and maintenance
  • Ensure timely, complete, and correct processing of payment transactions (Inwards, outwards, book transfers, FX transactions) 
  • Ensure that all trades, transactions, and charges are booked in the core banking system on a timely basis.
  • To charge fees as per the tariff guide on all relevant transactions
  • To authorise loan upon completion of all internal verification and documentation
  • Ensure the timely completion and submission of all regulatory requests, queries and returns.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and correct processing and settlement of deposits, Loans ,and other treasury products.
  • Responsible for the maintenance or approval of Counterparties or clients’ account on the core banking system.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and correct opening, maintenance and closure of accounts on the core banking system.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and correct communication and processing of corporate action events, Trade and transfer monitoring and settlement, cash and holding recon.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and correct processing of Fees (including Admin Fees)
  • All tasks carried out are properly documented and processed timely and diligently in line with existing policies and procedures.
  • Attend to all queries from internal and external counterparts relevant to the above-mentioned tasks, including internal compliance, Internal Audit and regulators.
  • Assist the Assistant Manager and Head of Operations for all Administrative tasks: (Not limited to) keeping all process flow, policies and procedures up to date, BCP documents update, testing of new functionalities/systems.
  • Liaise and maintain good relationship at all times with all counter parties

Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Operations or the COO/CEO.

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting or related or equivalent qualification
  • Have at least 4 years in similar position
  • Proactive, dynamic, an eye for details & results oriented
  • Excellent organizational and Time management skills
  • Excellent analytical and communication skill
  • Have a good team spirit
  • Have a positive mindset and solutions oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
