Job Purpose
The job incumbent’s main responsibilities will be to receive, maintain and ensure the distribution of the materials / spare parts.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure to make available the right parts in the right quantity to the right place at the right time with the right level of quality, for repairs and sales
- Ensure stock is at the least total cost to the organization, without compromising availability
- Perform weekly cycle counts and other stock inventories and prepare reports on same and all other stock related matters
- Ensure work of subordinates is carried out within set deadlines in a complete and accurate manner and as per company rules and regulations and established service standards
- Ensure register and returns of DOA and other unused items to suppliers against credit notes
- Maintain security and control of storeroom and storage areas
- Attend to all customers’ and employees’ requests/ queries for any spare parts
- Promote sales of spare parts
- Build and maintain relationships with customers
- Process and follow-up on customers’ requests/queries and provide prompt feedback
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of stores
Profile
- SC or HSC
- A minimum 2 years’ work experience in the relevant field
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Having a high sense of customer primacy (internal and external)
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to perform to the best of their capabilities
- Ability to following through on issues in a timely manner
- Able to work independently as well as a part of team
