The HR Officer is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, not limited to recruitment, staffing, employee counseling and other administration tasks. Provides general day-to-day HR sup-port.
Administration
- Managing and maintaining contracts, personnel files and other Host’s information according to established policies and procedures.
- Controls access to Hosts and HR files, folders in the HR file room.
- Produces reports from the HR system as required.
- Providing administrative support as required
- Review and monitor the process for the preparation and printing of name tags for new hires and replacement badges for current Hosts. And notification to Payroll Officer for related replacement fees of badges.
- Is responsible for the collation, and recording of, monthly absence data for submission of monthly report
- Helps in ensuring accurate submission to Payroll.
- Ensures that the personal files are up to date.
- Is responsible for the production of job adverts, both internal and external, as well as the advertising of these through agencies, newspapers or other sources. Is conscious of the advertising budget, and record costs for a proper monitoring.
- Controls and organises the interview process, sending letters and information, and producing questions and forms for interview.
- Ensures that exit interviews are carried out and monitored, and draft monthly report accordingly.
- Ensures that evaluation sheets are completed and that confirmation letters are given after probation period.
- To ensure accuracy of information when inputting into the HR Sicorax.
- Help in posting articles in the Saturday Briefing.
- Provides job candidates by screening, interviewing, and testing applicants; notifying existing staff of internal opportunities; maintaining personnel records; obtaining temporary staff from agencies.
- Administers medical insurance by advising hosts of eligibility; providing application information; helping with form completion; verifying submission; notifying hosts of approvals.
- Maintains human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, merit increases; tracking vacation, sick, annual leaves, amenities(polo shirts, slippers, food handlers, certificate of characters & others) on the HR Sicorax.
Recruitment/New Hire Process
- Participating in recruitment efforts
- Posting job ads and organizing resumes and job applications
- Scheduling job interviews and assisting in interview process
- Collecting employment and tax information
- Ensuring background and reference checks are completed
- Preparing new employee files
- Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentation
- Orienting new employees to the organization (setting up a designated log-in, workstation, email address, etc.)
- Conducting benefit enrollment process
- Administering new employment assessments
- Serving as a point person for all new employee questions
Wealth fare
- Ensures that the daily checks are done at the Host Restaurants and the Locker Rooms.
- Assists in sports, community and environmental activities organize for the Hosts.
- Coordinate events organized for the Hosts.
- To organize the Townhall Meeting each quarter.
General
- To be the first point of contact for queries coming into the HR Department
- Assisting the HR Team with generalist HR matters, including reviewing a Policies and Procedures and providing advice in relation to employee conduct and absence management
- Administration, co-ordination and support of recruitment
- Prepares new hires file as per established policies and procedures
- Providing confidential ad hoc advice and assistance to the Hosts.
- Assisting with preparations for disciplinary and grievance hearings as necessary
- Assisting in delivering part of the induction programme for Host.
- Communicates sensitive information and break bad news on a range of Employee Relations issues, such as long term sickness, disciplinary matters, termination of contract, and grievances between staff / managers and volunteers.
- Ensures the promotion of Hosts equality, diversity and rights in all actions and activities.
- Takes daily walks through the property to show HR presence
- To update the labour force sheet (Manning) on a weekly basis.
- Fulfillment of additional duties as required.
