Mecom Group is looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer who will play a vital role in supporting the finance team in various tasks by overseeing and optimizing the accounts receivable process.
Mecom Group is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day invoicing and receivables while supporting the team with other finance-related tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the customer datafile and ensure all KYC documents are on file
- Maintain accounts receivable records so as to reduce credit risk to an acceptably low level
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via phone and e-mail
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of banks deposits updating and distribution of cash book, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
- Sending statement of accounts on a monthly basis and as and when required
- Keep relevant dashboards up to date
Qualifications and experience
- HSC with Accounting at A-level
- Minimum 2 years proven work experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in Sage Evolution will be a definite advantage
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Good team player
- Ability to handle work pressure and meet tight deadlines
